Congrats to our girls and guys who competed for Team Michigan at the Mid East Meet of Champions! The boys team won the meet and the girls were second. Combining to win the overall trophy for the second straight year!

Cross Country Clinic – Begins Thursday November 7th and goes through Saturday November 9th. If you haven’t registered yet you will now need to register at the door but we would love to see you! Friday night will be our annual awards banquet where we celebrate some special awards and crown Mr & Ms Cross Country! Bring a Toy to donate for Toys to Tots!

The Clinic is held at the Comfort Inn in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
Team Michigan Trials – Saturday following the Clinic there will be the Team Michigan Trials just down the road at Shepherd High School. There are 4 races conducted with the highlights being the Boys & Girls Senior Races which will qualify the Top 12 to represent Team Michigan at the Mid East Meet of Champions in Kettering Ohio on Saturday November 16th. Additionally there is a co-ed 2 Mile youth race and a co-ed Futures 5K.
Cost is $5 for the Senior Race and $10 for the Youth or Futures if signed up online ahead of time, $20 onsite.

Those earning a spot on Team Michigan will be invited to ride a charter bus to the Mid East of Meet of Champions and have their stay covered by MITCA. In 2018 Team Michigan won both the Boys and Girls meet.

11:00 AM – Registration and Bib/Chip pick up in Shepherd HS Atrium
Noon – Rick Weinheimer successful Coach gives pep talk to the athletes racing. (In Shepherd Auxiliary Gym)
12:15 PM – Registration moves to Pole Barn near Start of Course
1:30 PM – Youth 2 Mile Race (open to 8th Grade & below)
2:00 PM – Girls Senior Race
2:30 PM – Boys Senior Race
3:00 PM – Futures 5K Race (Open to 11th Grade & below)
Shepherd High School has a new address, this address will lead you to
the Gym which is where you want to go for pick up and the speaker. The race will take place on the Cross Country Course
which starts and finishes to the South of the Football Field. The Football Field is to the West of the Gym. Bathrooms will be open in the Atrium of the Gym during the pick up and speaker times and then likely the Football bathrooms will be open prior to the race if they have not been Winterized yet. If they are unavailable there will be Port A Johns.
